Mission – Vision – Beliefs

We preach the Gospel. We believe in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, and we are entirely committed to Him. We take the Bible seriously; it is our source of authority.
Our Mission
Love God. Love People. Make Disciples.
Our mission is to make fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ who are growing in truth and love, for the glory of God.
(Matthew 28:19-20; Ephesians 4:15)
Our Vision
Our vision is to be a biblical, spiritually healthy, loving, growing church family; so that God is glorified, and our city becomes a place of greater hope. (Romans 5:1-5; 15:5-13)
Our Beliefs
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe that God is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, and that He has authority over all of His creation.
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative, sufficient Word of God.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His substitutionary and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that the gift of salvation is received by trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ and His redeeming work on our behalf.
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by who’s indwelling the Christian is transformed increasingly into the likeness of Jesus Christ; and that each believer, although not sinless, is enabled to live a blameless life.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of eternal torment in separation from God.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, and that it is God’s design for believers to live life in community, being members of one body.
We believe that God has given two Great Commandments, according to the Scriptures, that are above all others; Love God and love ALL people whole-heartedly, selflessly, and sacrificially. An authentic application of these two Great Commandments of Love inherently compels the fulfillment of the Great Mission.
We believe that God has given one Great Mission for His redeemed people during this present age on Earth, and that is to make disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe that our involvement in making disciples starts with our personally, authentically being changed by believing the Good News (Gospel) of Jesus Christ, so our transformed hearts, minds, and lives display the truth of the Gospel message that we joyfully and prayerfully share.
Our 2024 B.H.A.G. (Big Holy Audacious Goal): BE MISSIONAL
Our B.H.A.G. for 2024 is to be increasingly missional, meaning we adopt the posture of a missionary with the people around us, learning about them and serving and sacrificing for the sake of their knowing Christ better.
We love you, and more importantly God loves you. You are welcome and you belong!
Jesus is inviting you to know Him and receive salvation in His name.
God wants each of His messy children to become more like Jesus.

Why “another church”?

There are so many people in our communities who are living lives of quiet desperation, disconnected from God.  They are looking for something real in which to hope.  They hunger for spiritual meaning and purpose in life. They thirst for the presence of God.  Our Heavenly Father wants us to share with everyone the love and hope that we have found in Jesus Christ; even when it is costly or messy for us to do so. God wants us to help people invite Jesus into their lives.  We believe that planting healthy new churches like Here’s Hope Church is one of the best means of reaching people with the hope that we have received from Jesus, and to help those who already know Jesus Christ to grow as His disciples.
